Get them on your phone…
OK, so now that you’ve heard a few of the tones, and you’ve downloaded some of them (the cool ones of course) how do you get them on your phone.
First thing you need to know for sure is that you can use mp3 ringtones on your phone.
Second thing is that you need to right-click on the tones on this website and save them to your hard drive.
OK, well, I’ve got a few solutions. Please be aware that some of these solutions may not work for your phone.
Solution #1:
Go to rumkin and use their uploader. They have good instructions on heir site, and if the tone for some reason isn’t sent to your phone as a text message, then they give you a “jump code”. You’ll need to use your phones web browser to go to their site (they give it to you on the page with the jump code) and type the “jump code” into the code field on the web page. It’s pretty easy.
Solution #2:
Go to FunForMobile.com and use their uploader to get it onto your phone.
Solution # 3:
Go to SprintUsers and use their Focus Uploader.
Solution #4:
I’ve created a WAP site, (http://tagtag.com/weeklyringtone) but I can’t get MY phone (Instinct) to download the file, it just plays it. It might just be my phone. Can someone try this and let me know if it works or not? Since there are so many different phones out there, I might need to abandon this effort…the iPhone uses a .m4r file, my old phone used .mid or .qcp files, I know there are others that use .mp4 files. This may end up being too much work. I’ll keep researching. If someone has a solution for me let me know.
Have fun
